The new BANGER QuadX from F-ONE was developed in collaboration with Charles Brodel and is clearly designed for modern performance. The goal was to create a kite that combines maximum versatility with strong big air potential, while remaining controllable and intuitive.
Immediately noticeable is the new QuadX Leading Edge construction. This makes the kite feel very stiff and stable, yet surprisingly light. Especially in gusty or stronger winds, this ensures a very calm flight and consistent behavior in the air. The BANGER moves cleanly to the edge of the wind window without becoming restless or building up uncomfortable pressure.
The combination of QuadX material in the leading edge and HT80 provides a very direct and precise riding experience overall. The kite reacts quickly to steering impulses and provides immediate feedback at the bar. At the same time, the power delivery remains controlled and progressive, making the kite pleasantly predictable despite its performance.
F-ONE uses a fixed 6-point bridle on the BANGER, which creates a very direct connection between rider and kite. Especially at higher speeds, quick changes of direction, or kiteloops, you notice how precisely the kite is tuned. The bar feeling remains constant and always provides clear orientation in the wind window.
In the Big Air domain, the BANGER develops a very vertical lift with long hangtime. Particularly striking is the additional second lift during the flight phase, which makes landings significantly more controlled and softer. The kite generates a lot of height without appearing aggressive or restless.
Positioning within the wind window also works very harmoniously. In lighter winds, the kite remains efficient and quickly generates power again, while in stronger winds, it can be cleanly accelerated to the edge of the wind window. This results in very stable and forgiving handling.
It's also interesting that each size has been individually adapted to its respective area of application. The larger sizes deliver strong low-end and work efficiently in less wind, while the smaller sizes have been optimized for strong winds, fast loops, and big air performance.
We were able to extensively test the new BANGER QuadX in Dakhla and were particularly impressed by the combination of directness, speed, and control. Compared to the Trigger, the BANGER requires a bit more active movement on takeoff, but it feels faster and more direct overall. Especially in strong winds and dynamic maneuvers, the kite feels very lively and precise.
